this is a picture of a flower i bought for my girl firend who knows how long back. i saw them in her room, and i just had to take a picture. this is the best out of around thirty picutres, i kinda wished it would turn out, i dont know, less dark, but you work with what comes out, and maybe it was supposed to come out like this.
i find it interesting that there is alot of tension while looking at the rose. by all defonisions there should be no tension, the lines of the grain point to the flower, and it goes almost by the book. i guess that is why i like this one so much, because no matter how by the book it is, i cant help but think this is differint. I cant keep my eyes of it, and i suppose that makes it art.
i used alot of contrast and darkening, and then dogged the flower to bring it out.
tell me what you think, do you feel the tension created by the lines and the off center flower?

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
